G.R.A.D.U.A.T.I.O.N. of G.R.A.D.U.A.T.E.S
Graduation day is the most awaited moment to pupils in the elementary and students in high school and college or the university who will receive their diplomas. This is the day where they would go up on stage and be conferred with an academic degree. This is the ceremony where they could realize that they had finished a certain course or program throughout the entire year. This is the moment wherein they could wear their academic gowns and graduation caps. How nice to see these graduates as they march together with their parents, teachers, school officials, guests and visitors!
Real happiness is felt during graduation. Immeasurable happiness to the graduates and of course to the parents. After a year of struggle, tedious hardwork, perseverance and camaraderie, they would reap the essence of this momentous day. You could see on their faces how happy are they! Each of them smiles to one another. A smile of gladness! A smile which means a simple congratulation. A smile that means a lot. Each of them shakes hands to one another. This signifies how grateful are they to be with their teachers and classmates throughout the year.
As their names are called to receive their diplomas on stage, everyone feels excited. They are happy to receive the proof of their labor and see their proud parents who smile at them, who are happy to see their children. One moment in time, the parents witness their children to get what they are about to reach. The goals. The sacrifices they had devoted and supported for their children. This is a vivid indication how they truly love them. The untiring support and unconditional love matter a lot to these graduates.
During their stay in school, it can't be denied that they have experienced the ups and downs of being students. There are times that they forget to do their assignment. There are moments of not doing their project. There are cases they did not finish their research and term papers. There are days that they are absent in school, if not, cut classes once or twice and more. There are times they are late and tardy in going to school, tardy of submitting projects and other requirements. But there are times that students feel more comfortable in school than at home. Despite of being the second parents, teachers had done appropriate comfort with them. Have you ever realized that some students prefer to stay in school than at home? Seldom the case maybe but it is really true!
Unconditional love and untiring support from their parents make the graduates survive through thick and thin against the hardships, obstacles and challenges they go through in school. For elementary pupils, who are guided and nurtured by their supportive and caring teachers will be noticed happy when they receive their diplomas. For six years of stay, they have been taught and given suffiecient knowledge to bring to the next ladder of education. Are they ready yet to face the new challenges they will encounter? The answer is yes or no. Yes, to those who are determined to finish the next journey. No, to those who think they can't make it because of this and because of that. There are many underlying reasons why they wouldn't take the courage to get into the next adventure. On the other hand, high school gradutes, who have been molded and led by their strict and lenient teachers, will be taking the next level of education. They courageously reached the finish line on their second adventure. It is a fact that students really enjoy their high school life. Perhaps we ask why?The laughter and tears they share during the year of struggle. They add the spice of secondary education.Consequently, the college and university graduates who have done their very best to qualify as candidates for graduation. At long last, they are able to get the tertiary level of this challenging journey.

BADMINTON
Aside from volleyball,a team sport, there's another sport which I like the most. It's badminton. It's a racquet sport.I started to appreciate this sport when I was in second year high school. My P.E. teacher was able to persuade me how to love to play this kind of sport. Afraid to hit the shuttlecock [shuttle, bird] at first but I had learned how to manage and control smashing it. I didn't have a personal racquet so i used to borrow from my friend, who is our good neighbor. Smash here and there even without a particular badminton court. We drew lines to assume we wouldn't let the shuttle out. It was so funny. Until one day, our location has been granted for some sport equipment like basketball, volleyball, table tennis and badminton. The city mayor was so thoughtful of providing the youth for these leisure equipment.Of course, I always played the volleyball because I normally like a team sport. There were days that I tried to focus playing badminton. That was the best time because we had the proper court and equipment. As the days moved fast, I learned more about it when I was in the university. Our P.E. class had tackled about different sports and it's one of them. That time was great. I learned how to serve properly, how to vary styles and techniques and of course how to enjoy the game. Then one day, I was chosen to represent the Freshmen during our Intramurals and Foundation Days. The best part was getting the bronze medal. I defeated the sophomore but lost to the junior and senior representatives. Maybe I was just lucky that time. After I graduated from college, I seldom played this sport.Once, twice a month or sometimes never in a month.
I miss playing badminton. And I never thought of suggesting it to some friends who have interest about it last month. This year, I finally decided to buy my own racquet.I should one of my personal investment, something I haven't had before. As of this writing,I'm gladly saying I played with my friends this afternoon. We spent one and a half hours at Worldwide Corporate Center, a 15-minute travel from the house. It was fun indeed. I had sweat a lot, hahaha...the bad calories were discharged. We hope next time, we would increase in numbers. I'm so very thankful with my friends who joined the fun and fantastic experience.
See you next week ^_^

I've READ it...
As I arrived home this late afternoon after a wonderful and fun badminton session and a table discussion at McDonalds with a coke float and yummy French fries with some friends, I hurriedly open my computer and logged in to my blog webpage, and of course my Facebook account, and saw this very striking words from a blogger whom I don't even know. At first, I was hesitant to finish what he wrote but unknowingly I was able to and noticed the scroll bar has stopped going down. In short, I finished it. I don't have any single reason why did I read it. His words are quite unusual to me. I knew for sure that s/he's not an English speaker because of his/her grammar. It's the same with me that sometimes grammar matters. But no matter what,I loved what I've read from him/her. Maybe in a certain point, these words struck me sometime before but I really can't remember. To make it clearer, I copied the words that nailed my mind to ponder what s/he means to. This is it :
"The cause of our problems is our belief that there are problems. There are no problems, there are only actions that can or cannot be taken when we do not like things.
There is no problem in the world, everything is as it is.
Wherever we see a problem, it means that we are resisting to what is present. Yet what it is, by its nature, it is present. There is nothing you can do with this.
No one can think of to complain about the fact that green is green, yet we complain of what it is present.Complaining about something that it is, manifestly, it is like complaining that water is wet.
Complaining is a waste of time.
If there is a situation that we dont'like we can accept it, change it or abandon it. There is no "complaining."
Everything, of course, depends on our perception of the world. I assure you that we can spend a lifetime looking for satisfaction in things of the world, but if we do not act first on the lens through which we see the world then even the greatest fortune may seem a damn.
The words are trying to let me realize something but they remain unclear to me. Literally, I understood what s/he means but I know s/he has something deeper to reveal on. I couldn't fathom the critical thinking approach as what my college professor has taught us. Tell me I'm an idiot but I don't know if I need to disagree about it.I liked the message but should I really disagree? You can ask me why should I think about it. Simply because s/he has something to let us know. Something that we should think about which I don't know.

a new TAKOYAKI lover
What kind of food is that? This was my immediate question the other day to Adrian,my officemate, when he had told me about this Japanese food. We went down to Robinson's Galleria wherein a takuyaki stand is located. While on our way, it really gave me a mental aggravation to what and how does it look and taste like. When we arrived there, he suddenly chose the spicy one. After an instant observation to how does the food is served, I chose the sweet one with a chicken toppings.I saw him deliciously eating takoyaki while I was diagnosing its taste and - bang! Great! That's what I've said. I liked the taste.I had consumed the three pieces which cost me Php27. It's kinda more expensive than siomai but the taste is better. It is typically filled with diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion, brushed with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise, and topped with dried chicken or pork. In short, I found it yummy. On that day, failed to bring my phone so i wasn't able to take photos of it. The next day before I went to the office,I purposely dropped by the takoyaki stand and took one order out.I asked permission from the attendant that I would be taking pictures for my blog and write about it. They seemed to be unaware about blogging but they happily smiled and granted my request. I took two shots, the far right and the other one below. I arrived the office and ate it. I was able to share it with Pauline. She asked me about it and told her it's takoyaki. Bettina shared an info that it's an octopus. Thanks girl! During our dinner break, Gael and I went down to RG to buy some food for dinner. Down our way in an elevator, I thought of taking a photo with a takoyaki stand as background. Thanks to Gael's effort and understanding. It's at the far left of this page.Honestly, there are lots of customers who were at the line waiting for their takoyaki to be served. Finally, we headed to Jollibee and bought something to eat. The next time you drop by RG, try the takoyaki. Php 27 is worth of your burp!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are many variations to the takoyaki recipe.
Originally takoyaki used to be eaten without sauce or dip but in modern days it became common to eat it with a variety of sauces (takoyaki sauce, mayonnaise) and/or dips (e.g. ponzu i.e. soy sauce with dashi and citrus vinegar, goma-dare i.e. sesame-and-vinegar sauce or vinegared dashi).
It was first popularized in Osaka where a street vendor named Tomekichi Endo is credited with its invention in 1935.[1] Takoyaki was initially popular in Kansai but later spread to Kanto and other areas. Today, it is popular in many areas throughout Japan. Takoyaki can be purchased in many street food stalls (yatai) but today there are many well-established takoyaki specialty restaurants/eateries that are very popular. Osaka or the Kansai area is particular famous for it. It may be often sold in many commercial outlets, e.g. supermarkets or 24-hours shops. In addition, frozen takoyakis are even exported to many overseas countries.
Yaki is derived from "yaku" (焼く?) which is one of the cooking methods in Japanese cuisine, meaning "to fry or grill", and can be found in the names of other Japanese cuisine items such asteppanyaki, yakitori, teriyaki and sukiyaki. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takoyaki]

another sport...BADMINTON
My favorite sport is volleyball. But I also like BADMINTON. My friends and I agreed to play badminton every weekend for fun and the like. Whatever purposes of this plan, we're sure we'll be having fun. Since I had enough time before I went to work yesterday, I decided to drop by Toby's, one of the leading stores for sports. I asked the sales attendant to give me a kind of badminton set. She explained NASSAU and offered that this brand is good for badminton enthusiasts. Part of her sales-talk,I was persuaded and upon checking its quality and style I decided to have it. I called and told Lana about it and check. What a coincidence she was also at Robinsons Galleria. After a minute or two, we headed to Toby's. We rechecked again and the sales attendant showed us another color. I chose the green one, the mere fact it's my fave color. It gave a plus factor to get this one. Fortunately, we were given discounts. ^smile^. We got 20% discount for its accessories. I mean the grip protector and shuttlecock. I informed Bella,Kate and others about it. Positively, they will surely buy so we could start to play. How I wish it would be soon. MJ sent an SMS and she'll definitely buy over the weekend. Great! Right now, I feel so excited about it.

Horse Power ^^
Going down from Jumong's back |
As I was browsing the files in my documents' folder, I was able to notice this photo taken last year when we visited La Mesa Eco Park the day before my 30th birthday. It caught my attention, the horse named Jumong. I was undecided to ride the horse due to a fact that I am afraid I might fall like a fallen angel from the sky. I had also remembered that my aunt has two horses ,white and brown in the province. I'm really hesitant to ride a horse.I dunno the big deal behind it. I'm really envious of my cousin who can ride their horse bravely alone. Take note, she's younger than me. In the picture, Hershey,my friend, co-teacher,is getting ready for her horse ride galore, while I was sitting prettily down on a monoblock. To ride or not to ride ???My mind says "yes" but my body trembles "no". Did Jumong like me to ride on his back? Definitely,I did but Jumong disliked it. His power , his neigh alarmed me. I wanted to go down but his master commanded him to start moving. No choice had I but to say "This is it...go for horse power." It ended like Jumong had adored my sexy butt. For sure! LOL :D.. See you next time Jumong ^^

PLAYING UNO CARDS
I played Uno cards with my friends. It's my second time to play this kind of a card game. It's really fun and interesting. The first time I played was no luck. I almost won in a game but to no avail. But today I able to find my fortune twice. Simply, I won. The photo at the left shows my winning card. It's number one. UNO in Spanish and uno too in my native dialect. We were six players and the new entries won. Kudos to George and Mina. You learned the game easily. It is really fun especially when you use your wildcards, reverse cards and blockers. You keep other players to get more cards and lose turn.
You can try it. A worth to recommend ^_^

The Unpublished..The Unfinished Jap Chae's Novel
It was fine Saturday morning and the alarm clock rapidly buzzing its humming sound inside of Francis' room. It's weekend, he thought. With a smile, he turned off the vibrating gadget and stretched his arms upward while giving an unexpected yawn. He seemed still sleepy but he knew he has a lot of weekend chores to do. It's his day off. He was a bit tired yesterday at school wherein he is currently teaching. It's a private school. The whole Friday is scheduled for homeroom guidance and club activities. Yesterday was a day to screen new batch of school campus writers for the school paper. It was also the day where he practiced volleyball with the sixth graders. Tired was he but his job was gladly accomplished.
He directly went to the common sink to wash his face and brush his teeth. The tedious and common routine inside his rented boarding house. No one was using the two faucets. They're in front of Denver's room, a junior criminology student who always asks him about his life being a teacher. Does he dream to shift an education course next school year?, Francis thought. He was heading to his room and he can hear his cell phone ringing. Suddenly, Francis grabbed it under the pillow on his bed. "Hello Rex!". A friendly public school teacher who hails in a nearby province and it's a three-hour drive by car. "What took you so long to answer me, dude?, Rex asked."I'm very sorry buddy, I was outside washing my face", Francis replied. In three hours I'll be at your mansion", Rex' voice echoed in Francis' ears as their conversation ended.
Rex would always call his room a mansion despite it's in a contrary. That makes Francis laughs and forgets how small is his room. However, it is a room where he finds comfort. It's a cozy room suited to concentrate planning his lessons for the entire week. It's an accessible location which is single block to walk going to the waiting shed to wait and ride a multi-cab straight ahead to school.
Francis had no idea why Rex decided to visit him in a middle of the seventh month. Rex usually drops by on the last week of a month. No matter what it is, Francis hurriedly took his untidy uniforms and did the laundry. He's pretty sure nobody was at the sink using the faucet. It can't be denied that no early morning classes for his house mates from different colleges in the city. Are they still snoring?, Francis grinned secretly. A secret to hide to anybody who might notice why he does it alone with no funny stuffs to laugh at. Is he going nuts? It might be their impromptu query. An unusual question for Francis to answer it.
Who would not wonder a surprise visit from Rex? It is still bothering on Francis' mind. He was on the last rinse of his uniform. It's thirty minutes after 8 o'clock and Francis feels gnarling on his stomach. This calls a heavy breakfast at Manang's Eatery across his boarding house. the smell of a fried longganisa and a fried egg became his favorite meal since Rex had taught him to eat fried longganisa. Francis has no regret about it for a fact that its taste is undoubtedly delicious.
A text message was received. A female college student gave a damn look after a Nokia tune was heard. Didn't she like it? A very trendy gadget could sometimes annoy other people. Francis nodded and tried to look at the screen of his mobile phone. The girl hurriedly picked her things up and went off. Francis followed his eyes and knew where the girl headed to. Francis was asking himself why did the girl behave that way. he didn't reply Rex' message. In less than an hour, Rex would be knocking at his room.

'candies"
As I was browsing the net , I suddenly thought of candies that I bought yesterday at Robinsons Galleria. These are a variety from Asian neighboring countries - China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.I just wanted to try the taste of these candies. I had told the sales in charge to weigh 200 grams of them. Well, it's not so expensive. I paid 50 pesos [$1.25]. not bad..There are 28 assorted pieces. If you try to look at the photo at the left. The light blue colored one is a coconut flavored candy. That's so very yummy. I could remember how does a "bokayo"[sweetened coconut meat in our province]. If I would be lost again to that spot in RG, I would surely choose more of this kind. I had eaten one [see the yellow green one], it's an ALOE flavored sweet. My taste bud was amazed to its flavor but did not complain. It sure is deliciously sweet. ^_^

Budaechigae ^_^
This is budae chigae. It's a kind of Korean food. Budae means "army" in Korean and chigae is "stew".
It's called an army because this dish has originated from the Korean war when some soldiers took any means of food from the American soldiers. This dish has tofu, kochujang, spam, hotdog, sausages and pork. This is best eaten with rice to compliment its spiciness. In sarangbang Korean restaurant, one serving costs Php 600 pesos, good for eisght (8) persons. This photo was taken last night. It's very delicious. [Masarap siya.]
PHILHEALTH ^_^
I went to the PHILHEALTH office this morning with some co-employees. We were able to get our cards.
We waited for an hour and twenty minutes. I was the 402nd client. Good thing, I didn't pay any single cent COMPARED to SSS ID card, I paid 150 php last February 2010 BUT until now, my card hasn't arrived yet. It's more than a year already.

^THE KITE RUNNER^
The book that made me cry, the writer who moved my nerves into a different dimension that traces the lines of inner emotions which fills the gap of evolution and bridges the gap of reality and most likely tearing apart the pieces of humanity from its solid identity..take time to read if you have time :)
^LUAU^
This is my 2nd time to celebrate LUAU. The first was at San Juan City. It was nice. Last year was nicer Luau because I ate a lot..hehehehe..Seriously, we had fun. Everyone was participitative. A great thing to cherish ^_^
^LMEP2^
It was a fun day over the weekend. The time to visit La Mesa Eco Park has come.

His name is KEVIN. He's 12.He's my first Korean student when I started to teach English way back 2007. His mom is a Korean actress during the 80s. Her name is Danna. She's a very kind and loving mother. I taught him the language for 3 months, four hours a day. I talked to him at Skype last 2009. He's in the middle school. ^_^

Twenty ONE
I have 21 regular students tonight. As of this writing, I had conducted two classes. In three minutes, I will start my 12 marathon classes. Good luck to me ^^
***************************************************************************
I also have a new student. This one comes from Teacher Cheska. She resigned yesterday and wanna be working as an accountant soon at San Juan City.
***************************************************************************
As I continue writing this one, Hannah canceled her class because she was eating dinner when I called. How lucky am I tonight, from 12 down to 11. Should I wish more canceled classes? lol
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What a coincidence! Soo Hee's mom told me that her daughter was taking a shower when I called. I advised her that I'll call Soo Hee on Friday. ^^

Twelve
It's my first time to have a 12-marathon classes today. What do you think I feel about it? It's a two-hour talk over the phone for 12 students. I know I can do it but it's not good for me at all. Anyway, this is a part of it. We must deal with it. I hope and I pray that someone will postpone or somebody will be absent. LOL

Summer..Summer
Welcome Summer ^_^
Maggie, my room mate and a very goof friend, has put up the early summer decoration inside our room. When I arrived last night, I saw these fab beach balls and other stuffs hanging on the ceiling of our room. I smiled. I really appreciate what he's doing. He started to decorate our room last December for Christmas, followed by Valentine and then this SUMMER.. thank you very much Maggie. You're one of a kind ^_^
Fried Chicken of Pancake House
Almondigas Soup ^^
This is the photo of Almondigas Soup from Pancake House. I'm not really into soup. But I tried this one and found it great. The taste is good and the aroma is delectably nice. It is costly compared with the crab soup from Chowking. Once you visit Pancake House, don't forget to take this one. nom, nom, nom!
Wallpaper
I really like this wallpaper in my mobile phone. The fact that I really love the sport, I wanted to be more conventional for this gadget. Something that I would see a little different everytime I open my phone. I hate purples, but I learned to appreciate it when I saw the photo after I googled it. It is so nice. You know the feelings of something you like the most and then you personalized it by yourself and afterwhich you see the good result. How nice!
Tardy
I called the dentist to have a dental appointment last week. It is scheduled today. The time agreed was 11 o'clock in the morning. However, I woke up at 10 a.m. Definitely, I would be late. I hurriedly went to the bathroom to take a shower. Ten minutes later,I was already ironing my clothes, simultaneously, posting some messages in my facebook account. I need to leave the house as soon as possible targeting it to 10:30. But I finished at 10:45 then went down the house at 10:50. I was in a hurry to get in a taxi but to no avail. It was eleven o'clock. I was inside the FX van. Turned on my MP3 player and listened to Jennifer Hudson's newest song "No one Gonna Love You". I always love the melody of this song. Her voice is so soothing. I arrived the clinic at 11:34. Good thing was, the dentist wasn't done yet to a previous patient. So, I was less relaxed and felt comfortable thinking that my appointment was immediately canceled. I was reading the newspaper, Manila Bulletin. Japan earthquake-tsunami headlines. I turned the Philippine Star, same headline. I did skimming both of these papers. After I had presented my Medocare Card to the attendant, I was called by Doc Dong and the dental service began. So far, it was easily done. My teeth were not that bad today. They are only in a schedule to be cleaned. I gladly went off the clinic and headed to Pancake House to eat lunch. Nom.nom.nom..yummy^_^..fried chicken plus an almondigas soup...great taste...Quarter to one, I went up to the office. Mommy Cindy is selling a fruit salad. My favorite..I took one order to be paid for the nearest pay day..Yummy again.. I directly moved to my station and began working at 2:30.
